Sunday, September 15, 2013 is "Back to Church Sunday" all across America.

Is there room in your circle?

When was the last time you included anybody new into your circle of friends? How does it feel to be left out? The thing that keeps some of us from "widening our circle" is fear. The fear of the unknown. The fear of exposing who you really are to someone you don't know. The fear of acceptance. The fear of rejection! Your willingness to "widen your circle" is what we as Christ-followers are called and equipped to do (Acts 1:8). If you have something that someone else could benefit from, like a life reconnected to God through Jesus. Then, perhaps you should consider making a connection with someone outside your circle. I saw a broadcast the other night, and it was said that folks who are not Christians ought to feel uncomfortable coming to our churches. Why would Christians want to make people feel uncomfortable? How did Jesus handle those 5 thousand plus folks who were hungry at the end of a long day? Did he make them feel uncomfortable or did make them feel comfortable while he met a need? Someone is waiting for you to let them into your circle because they see the light of God in you. I read this the other day, "with love and kindness have I drawn you."

Church done differently!

Who wants to stay in church for 2-3 hours and leave exhausted? Who wants to worry about what to wear to the place of worship? Does is really matter what kind of vestments (albschasublesrobes, & in some cases tailored made suits) the preacher wears, if he/she spends very little time on message (sermon) preparation? You hear the story about Daniel in the lion's den, but you don't know how it applies to your life.  Faith Bible Church (Remixed) is a church that is doing church differently! The dress is casual, the message is practical, the music is contemporary and the worship services are timely (90 minutes). The focus is on you, the person getting reconnected to the God who created you. If you want something different, you have to experience something different. I have been told, insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Do something different! Check out Faith Bible Church (Remixed) on Saturday nights at 6:00 p.m. "Come as You are and Leave Transformed!"

How To Handle Hard Times!

Our Pastor, Dr. Tait preached on "How to Handle Hard Times!" Psalm 126 gives us some clues about handling hard times. "Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy." Hard times will come in your life, but how will you handle hard times when they come? Remembering the blessing of God can give you hope in the present. If God blessed you before, then certainly God can bless you again. The question is not can God bless you, but will God bless you. Sometimes all you have is a memory that helps to get you through hard times.

How do you handle your hard times?
